Temető Ut (Cemetary St.)

I know for sure my mom would not approved of me going to a cemetary for no good reasons ('cos of her superstitions and etc), what more to take shots of headstones! Sincerely (to the souls) I mean no disrespect. I wouldn't have this intention if not for this hobby call - photography.

This cemetary is located at Temető Ut (Cemetary St.). I guess this an older site because most of the stones are, as you can see grimy and not attended to. Across the street there's a newer and more organised site but I've chosen this one for my project. Upon looking at the town's map, I realised there 3-4 other burial sites near the border which I think I'll not explore for now.

Did you know that Mariemcc of Alexandria DP has a site dedicated to cemetaries and headstones? Go read it here
.

Very nice photo-I don't focus on the fact that it is a cemetary-I like the fact that it is old and it shows that time has been passing by, just my opinion!!

i like the result you did with this photo...the sky turns to be grey...but the tiny green grass is spotted around the headstones.
Somehow...Life is short, but for the folks they (people live here)are forever green!!

nice shot.

A beautiful photo - the greens really pop out against the gray sky. I'm interested to see the headstones and who you "met" there!

What a great and emotional composition! This empty lonely bench with the graves gives a feeling of a great serenity. It captures also very well the soul of the departed who rest here.

It may be a cemetary, but it is a very interesting photo, full of peace. (I won't tell your mom)

Nice patina everywhere - ground, trees, gravestones etc. And the bench, which looks as though it has found it's final resting place as well.

I'm speechless with this image, it could be a painting. A real work of art. This kind of pieces are proof of the true love a person give to other people.

ce vieux banc dans ce cimetiere, magnifique, cela me fait penser a un vieux banc dans le cimetiere russe.
Une photo a encadrer...

this old bench in this cemetery, splendid, that makes me think has an old bench in the Russian cemetery. Photo A to frame…

Cemetery is always an emotional place to visit. Your photo is beautifully composed. By the way, thanks for having visited my daily photo blog. You must be a long way from home, Malaysia.

A beautiful melancholy picture. It is full of texture and the whole composition is like a painting.
